This book is more like a manifesto of the authors life than a journal kept by a fictional character. If you want a book to attempt to invalidate your existence every other sentence then by all means, buy this book. The author loves to claim he's philosophical and intelligent yet lacks the knowledge and ability to construct basic arguments. His "philosophy" is that of an angry edgy 17 year old. Yes, the main character is 17, but you have to remember the author is pushing 30 and has stated this book reflects his own philosophies. If you're an edgy teenager looking for a reason to hate yourself more than you already do, then by all means, this book will help you. For anyone with an IQ in the positive spectrum, this book is not for you. As far as the grammar compared to the last book, i'd say the author went from the grammar of a 7th grader to that of someone in high school. The grammar still feels juvenile and there are so many basic mistakes still. There are a ton of run on sentences, and at times there is no coherent plot structure. Take the positive reviews as a sign. They consist of his fans or "lackeys" leaving reviews about how much they like him or things that have nothing to do with the book. He has instructed his fans to do so because he knows his book could be torn apart by anyone with even a fraction of literary knowledge.
