Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

While shopping for this speaker, I wanted to get something affordable that was highly rated on Amazon, because I trust Amazon ratings. However, I was disappointed to find out that all these 5-star reviews AREN'T necessarily 5-star reviews. :( In with the speaker when you receive it is a piece of paper that says you'll get $5 back if you give them 5 stars on Amazon. Boooooo. Here I thought I was buying it because it was so good people loved it enough to highly regard it. My opinion (and dignity) is worth more than $5. That all said, if this came with an actual charger that you didn't need other pieces to (there is no plug, just a USB cable), and said cable didn't break easily (mine bent somewhat, rendering it useless), this speaker would be 3.5-stars at best. I'd give them 2 stars, but I don't like the fact that the battery doesn't last as long as it says (or maybe it's the charger that sucked) and the fact that I was duped into getting this speaker. As for the sound quality, it's not bad, but I've heard better. The bluetooth works sometimes, but most of the time, you need the really short (1-foot) auxiliary cable they give you. EDIT: Lugulake sent me another charging cable, so I am updating my review to 2 stars for customer service. However, I still would have chosen a different bluetooth speaker altogether. I am still disappointed I fell for their marketing ploy and $5 coupon to pad their ratings stats. -1 for the way they get people to buy their product, -1 for the charging and auxiliary cable that come with it (and the fact that the auxiliary cable is necessary because...), -1 for the bluetooth not working as well as I had hoped.
