This notepad is not made for calligraphy. The paper is low quality and ink bleeds/spreads on the page itself, and also bleeds through to the next page. I'm using Higgins black calligraphy ink and a Nikko G nib, which are both standard, intro level calligraphy materials. This might work for brush lettering, although others have complained about the bleed through as well. Don't waste your money! In the photo with two separate pages, on the left is this Notepad, and on the right is simple HP 32# Laser Paper (500 sheets for ~$6) HP Paper, Premium Choice Laserjet Paper Poly Wrap, 32lb, 8.5 x 11, Letter, 500 Sheets / 1 Ream Made In The USA which you can see works MUCH better!
