Is this supposed to be a good fountain pen? Seriously? From what I understand of the fountain pen enthusiast community, this is a respected brand and a pretty popular model, but holy crap am I disappointed. I have a Pilot Metropolitan, and this falls short of it in so many ways. The ink will skip erratically, the plastic body has no weight/feel to it, and the indented grip on the barrel is placed so awkwardly for the way I write that I can never get a comfortable grip on it. Plus it costs like ten dollars more! If you're considering a first fountain pen, go with the Pilot. It's a metal body, has a more universal grip, and writes much more smoothly. Skip this one.
