Many reviewers comment on this pan's ability to roast a turkey, chicken, etc., and yes, this metal container with solid handles will adequately hold a 20 pound piece of meat while it sits in the oven, but... after roasting my turkey, I put this on my (flat, glass) stove top to de-glaze the pan and make gravy and it buckled, vibrating wildly and splattering contents. Exactly why I replaced my bargain roasting pan. Money wasted for me. Update (2014): I researched and specifically sought out this model (Cuisinart 7117-16UR) based on America's Test Kitchen's high recommendation back in 2008. Since then, this model has been down-graded to "Not Recommended" in their ratings. This leads me to ask (unless Cuisinart redesigned this pan and left it with the same model number), how did it drop from "Highly Recommended" to "Not Recommended"? It should still be the same pan, and should still perform well, overall, even if newer pans excel compared to this pan's price. What the heck?!?
