After I assembled it - and the instructions are a hot mess - I picked it up to put it on a base and one of the table plates fell out of the bottom. I'd have to disassemble the entire saw to replace the plate and I have no way of knowing whether the other one is in there or not. I'm returning it instead of rebuilding it. You shouldn't have to rebuild a new item before you can use it. That said however, if you bought the C10FCG model (either Hitachi or Metabo - they are exactly the same) and it happened to be assembled correctly, it would probably be a good DIY saw for occasional use. Personally, I am going to buy a better quality saw.
