If you want to get eye-opening insight into who Burton Katz really is, read Dominick Dunne's "Justice," a remarkably telling account of the murder trial of his daughter. Dunne accused Judge Katz of preening for the cameras, showing overt favoritism toward the defense counsel because they were friends, providing bizarre jury instructions that could not be understood, and most importantly, withholding crucial information from the jury. At the end of the trial he had the gall to unload on the jury for their decision -- which were a direct result of his inadequate handling of this case.
