UPDATE: Great until the apparently not-connected plugs melt, destroying the unit and potentially burning down your house. Anova's response? "You're outside your warranty." There should be an immediate recall on their products, EXTREMELY dangerous. And if you google 'Anova melted plug' you'll see there are numerous others with the same issue. Shame on you for not taking responsibility for your extremely dangerous product. Perhaps it's time for a class action... -------------------------------- OLD REVIEW: This is my third Anova sous vide purchase... this time as a gift, but I'm a long-standing user of this device, and I absolutely love it. My preference is actually for the Anova One, simply because I like doing large batches of items. Here are some goodies that I've found very helpful: Rather than using a pot, use a Camwear Polycarbonate Square Food Storage Container Get the lid that goes with the CamWear and cut out an opening for the Sous Vide... This keeps water from evaporating and keeps the heat in. To keep your counter or floor OXO Good Grips Silicone Drying Mat. I use clips and little weights to keep food from floating to the top, keeping it entirely immersed. Hope that helps!
