Honestly, this isn’t a good product. We had two damaged pieces and the fireplace itself is also broken. My options are to either somehow send this back to amazon (would be a massive, massive hassle) or to work with the seller to get replacement pieces. Their online form asks for the serial number and we can’t even find it on the piece anywhere. We’ll need to call the company. I’ll update my review after I speak with them. I’m not expecting much. I knew, based on other reviews, that this wouldn’t be a quick assemble and I knew we would need a significant amount of space to build it in, so we were prepared for that. We used an entire living and dining room to assemble it in. But after getting everything out, lining things up in alphabetical order, and noticing the amount of damaged pieces, we were just praying that they would end up in a place that wasn’t noticeable. Thankfully, the damaged pieces can’t be seen, but there were two pieces that were damaged so badly that the structure of the fireplace itself is compromised, so it could tumble over at any point. The fireplace heater itself makes a horrible noise when it is in the on position with the “fire” looking feature on. It’s as if some piece in it is bent and as it spins around, it’s catching on something and making a loud ticking noise. So, we can’t use the “realistic” fire looking feature. We can only use it for the heat, and that seems to be working okay. This was $450 after tax, and it’s not work that at ALL. Don’t buy this. It’s cheap material, the whole thing stinks badly of chemicals and I’m afraid if we attempt to move it even once, it’s going to break.
