I never ever write reviews BUT this filter killed my very healthy and happy beta. I have never felt so much guilt because there is one review in here that says that this item is dangerous and it killed their beta. I went on all the positives and put all those feelings of doubt on the side. When my husband told me he had installed the new filter I ran down to check on my fish (Finley) and his long top fun had gotten caught in that bottom motor. I freed him immediately but 30 mins later he passed. I have never cried so much. I lost a pet; my 4 year old lost a pet and yes he was “just” a fish but we loved him. Please do not purchase this, you will regret it.
