DO NOT BUY!!!
I bought this product as it was advertised as "superior" to Frontline, a product we have used for years. I figured I would give this product a try. Sunday night, my 80 pound lab was playing with his brother for HOURS. Monday night, I applied this product. Tuesday morning my dog seemed tired but I thought nothing of it. Tuesday night I took my dog to the park. This is something we have done MANY times. We play fetch for HOURS and he has never had a problem. 2 throws in my dog comes back, stumbles, and collapses. He never lost consciousness but would not get up. I frantically called my wife to bring him home. I thought this my be a fluke. Wednesday and Thursday my dog refused to leave bed. Friday I took him for a walk and he collapsed again. Needless to say I rushed him to the vet. They performed an ekg and blood work, all of which was normal. They said to wash him with dawn and monitor. We have done that and he is still walking around panting heavily and very tired. We have not tried exercising him again as we are scared too.
Long story short, we are out $2500 on two vet visits, many tests, and no answers. I called bayer and they said the product is a dermal product that is solely contained to the glands on a dog. YEAH RIGHT! And nicotine patches are only contained to the arm?! I am hoping my 2 year old lab will recover. I will keep everyone posted. I am waiting 30-45 days until I try any exercise so HOPEFULLY the product can wear off. TRULY FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE.
