“Novels you can devour in a few hours" Sorry, Mr. Patterson. I find you, as you once described yourself in an interview, to be a decent writer and a great storyteller. However, in this endeavor you have failed. As the copy and pasted quote above states these "Book Shots" are being marketed as short novels (novellas). Novellas have beginings, middles AND ENDS. If this series/story is actually a serial and/or just a teaser for a future work, then it should be marketed as such. To market this as a complete, albeit short, work then give no ending isn't a book shot, it's a cheap shot to your fans.
