I wanted to like this toaster oven -- I received it yesterday and I have used it to make toast several times. Plus I used the convection mode to reheat baked potatoes for dinner last night. On each cycle of use, the unit would NOT shut off. I tried several methods of manually shutting the oven off but it kept on heating and heating at 500° -- in my estimation a dangerous situation. I like the way it toasted, but I can not afford for the oven to remain on after the timer has run its course. So, I called the customer support line -- actually, several times -- not once did I get a "live" person even though they kept repeating that "your call is important to us . . ." Each time they just would ask me to leave my name and number and they would get back to me. That is not acceptable to me. Each of my calls to customer support was during normal business hours. My only way of shutting down the oven was to unplug it -- which is what I did. The other solution was to return the unit, which I have done. I hated having to return it.
