These GreenLife pots and pans are a beautiful color and the allure of “healthy” cookware had me sold. That is until I used them for a week and they started falling apart. Only reason I gave two stars was because the color is beautiful. Here is my list of dangers and disappointments when using these pots pans and the matching bakeware sold separately. 1. Within a day of using these the beautiful “turquoise” finish started scratching off of the bottoms so much so that it left a chalky turquoise covering over the top of my gas stove. At first this was only cosmetic and disappointing but then after a wash or two the exposed aluminum rusted terribly. Aside from cosmetics this rust is unsettling because rust can potentially harbor bacteria. 2. Within a few weeks of using these the Thermolon healthy ceramic non-stick coating began wearing off after using only the plastic spatula provided in the set with this. The worn coat left the interior feeling like bumpy peeling skin to the touch and had lost so much of it’s “non-stick coating” that even warming a corn tortilla rendered our tortillas torn and stuck to the bottom of these pans. Aside from the lack of usability now that these are not non-stick, please also realize that the particles that are peeling off are going into your food which you are ingesting. And I have to worry too that the aluminum bases of these pan may now be leaching into my food as well. 3. The "Stay-Cool Bakelite handle with soft touch” only stays cool to the touch until it burns, smokes, and char at the exposure of heat from of the flame. The smell and fumes of burning plastic fills my home and sets of the smoke detectors nearly overtime I use this set. Even when boiling water the handles start smoking. Dangerous emissions can be caused by burning plastics. Depending on the formulation of these handles a number of toxic chemicals are being emitted into the home and air way each time they burn. After purchasing this entire 14 piece set plus 2 of their matching cookie sheets, one loaf pan, one 9inx13in casserole dish, and their 12 cup cupcake tin I’m sorely disappointed and out quite a bit of money. I would not recommend buying these until they have made some serious improvements. I will update once I have contacted the seller and requested a refund.
