I originally gave this four stars so apologize to anyone who I unknowingly mislead. I bought one of these over a year ago and it did a pretty good job of keeping the squirrels off, at least for a while. The issue is two fold. They put metal tabs on the opening to keep the squirrels from chewing through the plastic but the tabs are only at the bottom of the hole. The squirrels chewed through the top of the whole and made the feeder useless. The seed just pours out now. Also, the one metal tab at the bottom is just slid on with the pressure hopefully keeping it in place. The squirrels pulled them off. The second issue is that I bought one of these over a year ago and another one more recently (that I returned) and it is a far inferior product from what I bought. The interior plastic housing used to be a sturdy plastic but that has been replaced with a very thin plastic that the squirrels easily bite through. Shame on the vendor (and maybe Amazon) for allowing this item to be sold as the same one that was sold a year ago. Spend a bit more money and get a feeder that will last. It will end up costing you less in the end.
