Sadly a blown chance given to politics
I think John Wayne Bobbit was abusive and really drove Lorena to do what she did. She was guilty of the crime, but I really felt compassion for her. Unfortunately, this could have been used to focus on domestic abuse but instead was pushing a not so thinly veiled message that basically conservatives are pro rape, Clarence Thomas was guilty, etc etc. Anita Hill did not have credibility like Lorena Bobbit-they could not help themselves in having to even take a swipe at Fox News at the end. This is not produced by people who put the goal of shining a light on domestic abuse as a top priority, but those trying to vilify men in general-there is even a remark about "white men" which has no place in the conversation proving the purported priority of concern for domestic abuse to be a sham. Sadly, this was a missed opportunity
