I bought this replacement cable about 3 1/2 months ago, but didn't get around to installing it until about two months ago. The installation was as easy as expected, with just two connectors to solder. However, I noticed that the connection at the opposite end of the cable was a bit flaky. With a little wiggling it would work fine, and I didn't have a spare MagSafe adapter any more, so I decided not to return it. However, as of about a week ago the connector has been been occasionally becoming extremely hot, and the connection has been even more difficult than ever. So I'd strongly recommend spending a bit more for a better quality cable.
