At first look it has everything you wish for: small enough to drop in a shirt pocket, very light, takes great HD video and 10mp pictures. Good in low light and sun. The problem comes when you begin to use the camera in real life situations. If you want it for typical family use: kids birthday party, school events, sports, ect you quickly learn the battery does not last very long. Don't count on over 30mins of use. Yes you may get 45 but only if you take it from the charger and instantly to the camera. Also, the small size, very light weight and location of buttons make it difficult to snap a good quick photo. In sum I would say it is a remarkably good camera for putting many features in one package at very low price but it is so limited by recording time without taking several freshly charged batteries with you and almost needing a tripod to operate effectively. A good example of how several great ideas put together end up as one less useful total.
