Broke in half working in sand
I had this trowel for only a month. It broke in half after working a couple hours in Florida's sandy soil. Picture included. Please note that the steel shank does not go all the way through the trowel. The steel portion goes about 2/3 into the handle. Looking inside, the handle seems to be made of a very hard plastic that surrounds the steel shank. You can see on the handle a broken piece sticking out. It appears to be some kind of resin or possibly the substance they used to glue the two parts together. The way the manufacturer chose to attach the two pieces together seems to be the "achilles heel" of this tool. My experience does not support their claims of: "Most heavy duty garden trowel on the market and "One piece stainless steel is bend proof making it the best solution for working rocky or heavy clay soils" .
