I had the same problem as other reviewers/customers. Originally, these bars were salty with zero carbs. They were awesome for anyone on a paleo style diet. Now they've been infused with the "goodness of maple." Meh. What this means is that EPIC has discovered what the rest of the food industry has discovered. Sugar and sweeteners are cheap, and can be added to food for very low cost. When you counting carbs, every single one counts. What was once a wonderful discovery is now useless. EPIC needs to update this now. I feel a bit cheated buying these the first time when they were really really good, now to have them shoved full of maple syrup. They're still ok, but I was really tempted to put this as a two star.
