It's not a bridge in the true sense
It's not a bridge in the true sense. For a bridge, what I need is to take my wired printer and to present it to the Wifi network as a device. This is important for my applciation because then the other devices on my network could then send things TO the printer to print. This is what a bridge is supposed to be. But when this manual says bridge that's not what it means. What this device does is connect to the Wifi network, and then NAT the devices behind it to a new network. That'd be fine if all I wanted to do was to connect out from the printer to the Internet, but nothing on my local network would see the printer (because it would be behind the NAT). Also when I plugged it in, it could not see the wifi network in my house (from 5 feet away from the router). The device also froze up. The instruction manual has font size smaller than anything you've seen even the bottom line of the eye chart at the ophthalmologist. There are online videos with instructions but who has time for this. Another aspect of this device that is of concern is that I cringe putting it onto my network and connecting it to my computer, since it's clearly a foreign made device. Just seems like a massive IOT cybersecurity risk. This product does not meet my needs. Too late to return to Amazon, sigh, so going into recycling.
