When they say replacement flap, they aren't kidding. That's all it is - one single replacement flap. There is NOTHING else in the box. The cheap, flimsy, wafer-thin, two-piece plastic mounting bracket needed for attaching the flap to the metal hinge that hangs at the top of the unit IS NOT INCLUDED. Why don't they include this? PetSafe - I AM ASKING YOU - WHY DO YOU NOT INCLUDE THIS PIECE??? I'm guessing because it's got to be nearly a penny's worth of product, and pennies don't grow on trees. Our old hinge-bracket became brittle from the cold and just snapped apart when I unscrewed it - which is shocking really, because after all it is a cheap, flimsy, wafer-thin, piece of plastic. Why wasn't this made out of metal like the anchored hinge it's designed to attached to? That's a great question and I'm glad I asked. Probably - and really, this is just a guess - but probably because that could have run upward of two pennies each. So, now it's blustery 20 degrees out, and our door has a massive hole with king-size gusts of freezing wind rushing in to the house - because I can't even reattach the original extra flap that didn't need to be replaced. Looks like we are going to have to hang some fleece blankets over the opening so our three dogs and four cats can go outside and do their business until some kind of permanent solution is provided by the manufacturer [scoffs]. Including a penny's worth of plastic with these replacement flaps - or building them out of metal in the first place - would have made this entire situation avoidable. I spent $150 on the original door - $600 on a new door that could accommodate the dog door - AND paid to have them both professionally installed and now it's completely D.O.A. I am your customer and you owe me. Make it right. Judging by the reviews, it looks like you have a lot of other customers you owe as well. You suck PetSafe. Have a nice day!
