I purchased two of these for commercial use, and I regret it. MoFi advertises these (which are nothing more than a $34 ZBT WE826T - google it - with OpenWrt and a few software mods) as "high performance business class routers" - and nothing can be further from the truth. Since October 2015, MoFi has been less than responsive or forthcoming about fixing problems with its router (even though I paid them for two "business class" routers). First, the wireless constantly disconnects (issues an IEEE 802.11 disassociate command) every 6 minutes or so, causing video and music streaming to fail. Despite my use of wireshark, tcpdump, and ieee80211 driver debug logs, MoFi refuses to address the issue. The issue is caused by a faulty MT7620A driver utilized by OpenWrt (hint: disassoc_low_ack should be set to false in /etc/config/wireless), and MoFi technical support is clueless about it (I had to fix it myself - even though I spent $200 on this router which comes with "support" and I could have bought a $34 WE826T and done it myself anyway). Rabin, the sales and marketing guy, simply avoids the issue - I have a long string of emails going back months, in which I try to get him to fix the problem. His solution - buy the SIM4 model with the version 2 software (which people on the facebook "unlimitedville" forum are having similar problems with). Rabin also refuses to allow me to trade the two flawed units in... and refuses to fix their flaws... since October 2015! I would gladly share technical information and my email exchanges with anyone who's interested. In the end, I bought a pair of WE826T's from China, along with a Sierra MC7455 miniPCIe cellular card, and got the whole thing working for less than $200 (including the cellular card). I don't mind paying a premium for a product with support and fixes, but when I do, I expect support and fixes.
