Love the series and all the characters! Scenery and sets are stunning but I was disappointed in the movie! The screenplay/story seemed contrived. The staff's "take-over" of the service duties to the King was truly unbelievable and at best fictional. Not sure why the BBC feels compelled to offend a good majority of their viewers by adding a very direct commentary on the Gay issue; especially when the portrayal was contrived to fit a narrative within an inaccurate historical context in the form of a gay speak-easy style clandescent bar in England during the American prohabition era. I do not recommend the Movie!
