I bought this because I wanted to put it on my nightstand next to my bed for overnight charging of my Samsung S8. At first, it seemed to work OK, but after a couple of weeks, I noticed my phone was not charging. I would wake up in the morning after charging all night and it would be at 3%! So I took my otterbox cover off my phone and the blue light would come on underneath it indicating it was charging. But then about 10 minutes later the blue light would not be solid and would be blinking or flashing, indicating it was no longer charging which could mean the phone was not placed properly on the charger. It was right in the middle of it as indicated in the instructions where it should be. Sometimes I would fall asleep when the blue light was solid and at some point afterwards, it would start blinking, unbeknownst to me. So, no full charge in the morning. If I wake up and the indicator light is green, YAY, full charge for once! I keep the charger clean and free from any debris. If you want to be sure your phone will charge without wondering if, at some point, it will stop charging, don't waste your money on this and use a plug-in type. I should have returned it but I kept thinking it was something I had control over, such as the phone cover, or not placing it exactly where it should be, so I kept trying, but now after several months, I realize it's not me, its the charger!
