Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

Trust the intelligent reviews (3 stars or less) for this dismal effort. We know King can write, or used to be able to write, compelling novels, though we also knew, of late, we'd have to put up with political errata and some rather childish real world bloopers. But, this story line is overused, tired and has been way better done by many other writers with talent. And, where is the editing? The "hero sniper" makes a 500 yard head shot through a cold rifle with a scope zeroed using some Amazon device. Oh, and with store-bought ammo he's never fired through his weapon. And, has anyone ever heard kids say, "Loser, loser, vodka boozer?" Come on Mr. King, television shouldn't be the only way you leave your woodland retreat. I am only about half way through and will probably slog through the rest of this mess; but, if you are on the fence on this one, my advice is climb back down on your side and go home and read something else.
