This is my third UPS from Cyber Power (all via Amazon) this is a much smaller unit but I assumed it would work just as reliably. Sadly, it will not "kick in" when the power goes out or the plug is unplugged (basic "testing"). I have checked all the connections and re-read the instructions. The circuitry just will not kick in when power is lost so anything plugged into it goes off. The REALLY sad part is that it cannot be returned for exchange because it is considered hazardous. Lovely, they can mail it to me but I cannot mail it back. So I have a rather expensive door stop here. I have purchased hundreds of items from Amazon and have always, to date, been satisfied with either help from Amazon or the manufacturer(s) they carried. I have learned a lesson here. IF....IF ... Cyber Power makes this good I will update. Otherwise... BEWARE potential buyer. 09/21/2015 - Thank you Robespierre for your request about an update. Cyber Power did not step up so I did not update. If I did, my update would be that it is sitting somewhere in my shed. Useless.
