This coffee maker seemed to work fine in the beginning. I did pay attention to other reviews about not using the handle to unscrew the top. But around the third time I made coffee instead of pouring out from the pot the coffee just spluttered everywhere, I think this is because the top part became too hot?? Anyway now the pot has developed this grayish sheen on it which rubs off on your hands when you handle it. It smells metallic and I'm not sure that it's safe. I really wanted this to work because I love having coffee from these kind of coffee makers.
