I found this mattress topper to be just as much as a heat sink as any other foam mattress or topper. Cooling gel or technology did not work for me even with a cotton cover on top of it. Returned it without a problem. But beware if you don't have access to a commercial shipping account the cost to return may be prohibitive as you must pay to return it. UPS Store wanted $102 to ship!
