Worthless Warranty
When I was young, Philips was a well-respected multinational based in Amsterdam. It manufactured some of the best electrical devices in the world. Oh, how the mighty have fallen: This Blue-Chip company has become a Brown-Chip. When I first received my Sonicare toothbrush, it was great – though it did hiccup strangely. Within a few days the hiccups became stalls. Then at the three-week mark, the motor largely stopped – it made a light buzzing sound but did not vibrate. Thankfully, I’d registered it for the included warranty – they’d replace it wouldn’t they? It turns out, no. I contacted them. They got me to do a series of inspections and tests on the Sonicare toothbrush. They said it qualified for a replacement and – later - issued an RMA. They sent me a FedEx label and specified how I should return it. I shipped it the next morning and then, from Philips, heard ………. nothing. I’ve since contacted Philips asking for my replacement. They have a record from FedEx confirming I sent the faulty unit back. Yet they will not replace my unit. So, “buyer beware.” Don’t buy products from brown chip, unethical companies.
