Not what you'd expect from DeWALT, but actually made by Black & Decker. Nicely packaged, shipping and arrived on time. Removed it from packaging and read instructions. Charged it to full capacity and kept it plugged into power outlet in the truck ready for use. Used it help start another truck that had a dead battery. Worked great. A few days later, my riding lawn mower needed a jump start, so I grabbed the DEWALT DXAEJ14 Jump Starter: 1400 Peak/700, the charged screen reflected a full charge, yet wouldn't crank the Lawn Mower. Ok....got it, maybe not made for a riding lawn mower. I allowed my wife's car battery to drain with the headlights on overnight to test this Great Name Brand Product: Wouldn't restart the car, yet the battery charge bar on the DeWALT panel reflected fully charged. Yet figuring I could use half the product versus not at all, I used the air pump on a tire, worked great "ONCE". After working once correctly, began acting weird when I attempted to use it. The pressure gauge continually fluctuated from 20 PSI to 50 PSI back to 25 PSI to 60 PSI back to 15 PSI. Without receiving an accurate reading. I contacted DeWALT asking for technical support, customer service and even the CEO all of who referred me over to Black & Decker, stating although DeWALT is the name brand on the merchandise, it is actually a product of Black & Decker. I contacted Black & Decker, 5 times, each time my complaint was logged, my information was taken and was told someone would contact me shortly. It has been over a year, and I have yet to be contacted by anyone from Black & Decker or DeWALT. The best location to store the DEWALT DXAEJ14 Jump Starter: 1400 Peak/700 Instant Amps, 120 PSI Digital Air Compressor is in your garbage can. This is what I actually did, tossed it in the garbage. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Note to DeWALT/Black & Decker/Seller: My assessments & reviews are action based upon true verified purchases and use of products. Regardless of how you attempt to make this right with the customer does not delineate the fact that this is a terrible product and should be pulled from sales to unwary potential customers. My assessment & review will remain as long as Amazon allows it to be read.
