Wonderful! I now have one shoe successfully stretched and fits perfectly. Unfortunately, I was unable to stretch the other shoe, since the stretcher does not hold up. It broke while trying to stretch the second shoe. I purchased the Men's Large 2-way Stretcher. It is quite substantial, with nice quality wood. While the threaded rod used to tighten the stretcher is metal, the flange and round piece used to tighten the stretcher are plastic. The flange takes all of the stress of the stretcher, and is not strong enough to stand up to normal use. When I bought the FootFitter stretcher, it was sold and shipped by Amazon directly. There were both positive and negative reviews, but I thought I would give it a try. Now I see that the product is only available for shipment by FootFitter. This change has apparently allowed them to erase all previous reviews, since there are now only 4 reviews -- all positive and all created after my purchase. FootFitters does have a better version of the shoe stretcher. It is made with all metal parts, but costs double. Visiting your local shoe repair shop would be a cheaper and more effective alternative.
