Comparing Croscill and InterDesign curtains
We have an old bearclaw bathtub so we need two shower curtains, one for each side of the tub. We bought one Croscill Fabric Shower Curtain/Liner, and one InterDesign Fabric Waterproof Shower Curtain. They are both 100% polyester, but could not be more different. Croscill is probably twice as thick, actually feels like fabric, and has metal grommets for the shower curtain hooks. InterDesign feels almost like it's vinyl, not fabric. It feels very thin, and has reinforced seams for the holes for shower hooks. It's not waterproof - the outside face is damp to the touch after we shower, whereas the Croscill one is moderately dry. Both of them are fabric, so a bit of moisture does get through. But, the amount of seepage not enough to get anything else wet unless it's actually touching the fabric. The seepage is notably greater for the InterDesign version but not a concern for us because the curtain is not touching anything. We have very low-flow shower heads, so it may be worse for others. We've had them for two months, and this one is already growing mold. The Croscill is not. We haven't tried washing them yet, but this model is clearly inferior to the Croscill.
