I will curse the day I purchased this product. What a nightmare. Let's start from the beginning: I was so super excited to try this product as we have several dogs and my fiance works some pretty dirty jobs. I'm a clean freak and you can always find me spraying Lysol or wiping something down with a Clorox wipe. We purchased this and used it according to the instructions. When I say "used", I mean: Added this in (again, according to the instructions.... conveniently right near the warnings that read "do not get directly on clothing".... WHUT?) to all of our bedding, including the pillows (whole pillows). Clothing. Dog beds. Bath mats. Towels, rags, hand towels. EVERYTHING. Almost IMMEDIATELY after 1 day of sleeping in our bed and wearing the clothes, drying off with the towels, etc. both my fiance and I broke out into hives and ravaging red, itchy bumps. Some small and pimple-like, some larger like bug bites and a bright red pin rash that was seemingly turning into welts all over our bodies (backs, lower backs, stomach, arms, chest, particularly horrible and unbearably itchy underneath my chest as I had washed my bras in a load alone and added this in.... HUGE MISTAKE). Neither one of us has sensitive skin (we both use heavily scented soaps and perfumes/cologne, lotions with colors and such), no allergies, etc. We have 4 dogs and have lived in the country surrounded by trees, plants, all kinds of allergens our whole lives and never had any issues until this. We thought maybe it was poison oak, poison ivy, something maybe from yard work - Nope! It was this "sanitizer". We couldn't figure out why the burning and itching was particularly worse at night time.... *Lightbulb* Because were snuggling up in our bed sheets, blankets and pillows that are covered with this additive. It seemed anytime we would sweat even the slightest bit (which you do when you sleep), it would become totally unbearable. Just laying in this chemical. Yuck. Ouch. Needless to say and long story short: We've both been on Prednisone and Eczema/Psoriasis topical soaps and lotions for 2 weeks and have lost countless hours of sleep due to the itching, burning and pain keeping us up all night. Not to mention we had to buy new pillows AND rewash everything. Just terrible. I see lots of positive reviews and thats great! But the bad reviews are all the same: "Itching; Burning; Welts; Hives". I guess we're part of that club! I'm no naturalist by any means and I don't mind products with artificial colors and scents, etc BUT, this product is absolutely toxic, from the scent down to the color and I would recommend it to absolutely no one. I really wanted to love it but, it is not worth it. Unless of course you want to fester and burn for weeks and lose sleep because you can't stop scratching. I look like The Walking Dead and if I could have rated this negative stars, I would have.
