Wow. What a nightmare. Not only is the seller ridiculous to work with, but even Amazon is being awful about it. As you can see in the photos, the bag is *not* 40". At most it is 39". What you can't see in the photos is what poor quality the materials are. I have other targets of various sizes; this is cheaply made. The description "high density foam" is a joke. At the highest setting a kick from a moderately strong woman would snap the base. If this continues to be sold, it should be marked for children *only*. Small children. To return it the seller is saying I have to pay shipping and a 15% restocking fee; not going to happen. On top of being upset with the seller and Amazon, I am also terribly disappointed in Century. I use so many of their products (We have 4 people in our family that practice martial arts, and 2 of them practice more than one form. We buy a LOT of gear.) and I expect much better from them. *edit 9/20* I decided to just set up the target and use it for my 4 year old and weapons, and maybe my 6 year old for speed and accuracy. Setting it up made me even more upset than I already was. First I filled it with water as high as the instructions. When I tried to move it the plastic around the base nearly broke. I carefully removed enough water to move it (more than half), but even a few gentle palm heel strikes bent the plastic in the same place way more than I was comfortable with. There's no way I can let my 6 year old use it, she is much too strong and I can't risk her controlling her strength as much as she would have to. I have several other targets, and our family literally spends most of its time in martial arts schools every week; I know this is not normal for a target. We have a lot of items made by Century (MMA gloves, boxing gloves, weapons, a smaller target made just for kids...) I have never had problems with their quality. This is very disappointing. I'm attaching a picture of the 6 year old that is too strong to kick this target.
