A message to the Inventor that may help Customers
CraZy TACKz Inventor Gordie- I apologize if this hurts your feelings, as you clearly care a great deal for your product and want it to grow, but you're making a mistake in responding to comments the way that you are. While you are suggesting solutions to the problems people are commenting about, you also refuse to believe there is any room for growth and end up insisting that the customer must be wrong, such as telling them "it's the material you're putting it into". Try responding to criticism/feedback by brainstorming ways to improve your product instead of patronizing your customers and telling them they are using the product wrong.
I also take issue with your response to complaints about the hook spinning being, "You might want to use some "2-sided sticky foam", which is a nicer way of saying, "combine my product an unrelated product or my product won't work". Don't claim that these "will not spin if inserted correctly!" and then suggest that the customers purchase a product which does NOT come with CraZy TACKz to make your product work; that's false advertising, patronizing, and avoiding the problem.
I have placed these tacks in wood, cork-board, drywall, and "popcorn" ceiling; seeing as how I bought an entire pack of these, I figured I would attempt to use them in any way I possibly could. However, I find that the tacks themselves fall out of the wall (which is filled with working push-pin tacks) after a few weeks, likely from the weight of the items hung on them that are never more than 1 pound (Necklaces, keys, calendars, etc.). That doesn't even include my BIGGEST complaint, which is that the hooks spin. They also do not just spin; they spin EVERY TIME you remove or hang something from the hook, which completely defeats the purpose of using a hook instead of a regular push-pin tack.
In short, this product is a lot of false advertising; while it IS a push-pin with a hook attached to it, my experience has been that neither the tack or the hook works as promised. You're better off just purchasing push pins and hoping the object you have hung on it doesn't slide off the end.
Sincerely,
Disappointed.
