Original review: This product works perfectly for 16oz cans of Monster. If you open a can, pour out the portion you want to use, then immediately reseal and refrigerate the unused portion, the carbonation will be well preserved for at least a week. Kudos to the product team.
UPDATED 2014: After a couple of years of infrequent use, the white center plastic disc cracked allowing the magic fizz to escape. One star deducted. Better materials might make it last longer, but at the reduced price of five bucks it's a decent value. I'll buy another.
UPDATE 2014 after repurchase: This time the item came from seller checkysdeals. It looks almost identical in packaging and design as the original, but the original version had a raised US patent number on the top as seen in the video. The newer model has a checkysdeals advertisement instead. The new version feels like a different plastic, and the red ring in the center is manufactured differently such that it does not fit over a normal sized can. Replace "easy breezy" in the video with an expletive. The red plastic ring can be trimmed to make it work more or less, but the whole device is manufactured to a lower quality standard than the original. Too bad. The original version got four stars. The new version gets one star. Average is 2.5; 2.0 rounded down. There's an opportunity to manufacture this with a slightly smaller circumference and eliminate the obsolete red adapter ring, but the new knock-offs are a step backward.
