After reading reviews that stated I might be "forced" to sign up for their "HP Instant Ink" scam (it definitely looks like a bad deal for most people) I was worried about buying this and was ready to return it if that was the case. What I found out is this: When you install the printer's software on your computer it'll ONLY give you the option to sign up for "HP Instant Ink". There was no option to just install the drivers/software. You have to click the "X" button to cancel the installation; only then will it give you the option to skip "HP Instant Ink" and allow you to install the software to use the printer. I am shocked such a practice was approved. They basically are tricking people into thinking that signing up for "HP Instant Ink" is the only way to get their printer to work. What a horrible way to treat your customers. For that reason alone this printer gets 1 star. HP, you act like skeevy car salesmen, you get treated like them.
