I bought this so that we could check in on our new puppy while we are at work. It also doubled as a way to check on the inside of the home if our home security system triggered an alarm. It does both well for us, however we had a serious security issue last night. The cameras is always rotated toward our dog bed and has never moved. Last night my 9 year old daughter just finished her shower and was in a towel an approached our fish tank to feed her fish (the camera sits right next to the fish tank). As she approached the fish tank and was talking to me the camera rotated almost 180 degrees in her direction and stopped when she was in view. I am the only one with access to the camera and motion tracking is off. Even if I had motion tracking on, the camera was set on a dead spot in the room at that time. It was purposely rotated to view the source of my daughter's voice in the room. Do not place this camera in an area that is subject to any sensitive information such as your conversations or view of your children.
