Bought these for a combination of emergency preparedness/casual lighting for my patio in Big Bear. Started using them with the supplied batteries and notices some strange things. Bought in a 4 pack. Turned them on at night and left to run an errand in town. Back after 20 minutes, and a couple of the lights had dimmed SIGNIFICANTLY. Thought it was a fluke. Seemed strange since they were brand new but didn't think too much of it. Few days later I switched all the batteries out with Energizer Lithium Ion's. Turned them on and they were all VERY BRIGHT. Left them on for about an hour while periodically going out to relax and wait for friends to come over. Last time I go out, guess what? Some have dimmed SIGNIFICANTLY while others were still bright. WTF? I kept trying them and this kept happening. Inconsistent output, power regulation, and basically? Unreliable. I wouldn't count on these in an emergency. I paid $20 for 4 of them. Great deal right? Well obviously, too good to be true. 4 of these should not dim by roughly 80% in an hour on Energizer Lithium Ion batteries. Total joke. Buy something more robust and reliable. Returned to Amazon for a full refund.
