This product first came in the wrong color, I ordered white and got espresso. Amazon fixed that by sending the correct color at a discount but then it was late for christmas morning. When it finally arrived when pulling it out of the box to put together it has the worst chemical smell. It just smelled plain toxic. The smell didn't go away for 5 weeks. You can still smell it today when you put your nose up to it but before any room it was in filled up with the smell. After finding a formaldehyde sticker on the bottom of the furniture tonight and then doing some research I am in shock, disgust and fear! I now realize that the plywood to make has been processed in formaldehyde! I have now had this in my daughter's room for 2 months. The government website warns about off gassing of furniture and says to keep new furniture where formaldehyde has been used outside until off gassing is complete. It also says it is known to cause breathing problems and cancer. There is no way to undo the possible damage I have caused my daughter. I thought she just had a winter cough but now I am not sure and exposure to a chemical that is known to cause cancer. sending back the furniture is not worth the money as it is a pain to take apart and send back as I am just throwing it away. Please do not buy this or other furniture where the wood is treated with formaldehyde. My poor 6 year old daughter who I am so scared I have exposed her to these chemicals. Worst mistake I can not take back buying this product. Also, if that didn't turn you off enough, it is cheep and the legs have many warped defects on them.
