I took this as directed for several weeks and had no after effects and no real health impact that I could tell. After a while, I just quit taking it and kind of forgot about it for a number of months. A podcast reminded me of the wonders of this supplement, so I thought it would be a good idea to resume taking it, same as before. OMG!! The first couple of times I got really nauseous, and as I hadn’t eaten anything in the morning, I got some dry heaves and minor vomiting. The nausea didn’t hit until a couple hours later, so I didn’t put two and two together, as I had taken this product before without issue. Then one day I decided to have a meal and wait a couple hours and take one of these pills (which is well past the half hour after a meal suggested on the bottle). I should have been fine. Holy Toledo! I don’t think I’ve ever thrown up like that in my life. The vomiting was violent and continual. It lasted for a couple of hours. In between episodes, I could barely get enough water down to prevent dehydration and then I’d throw that up too. It was so terrible I can’t express it well enough. I can’t explain why I was able to take it initially without any issues, only to have this happen a few months later upon resumption. I wasn’t combining it with other supplements. Anyway, I can say I’ll never take it again. Beware! May 2020 Update: After seeing so many reviews and comments that one should not start with such a high dose, I decided to try it again a couple years later, even though I said I wouldn’t. I wanted these same amazing benefits every else got. I bought a different name brand, enteric coated, but only 20,000 SPU. I took it on an empty stomach in the morning with lots of water. I’m sorry to report that three hours later, BOOM, severe vomiting! For an HOUR! Until I was puking bile. Can anyone offer helpful suggestions as to how I can get past this? I would love to be able to take this product like everyone else but without severe vomiting. Thanks.
