The product description and photos on Amazon are misleading. This unit, according to the instructions included, is NOT WEATHERPROOF. The heating pad is made in China and is not UL listed. The item is not suitable for outdoor cats, ferals, or strays. It is not to be used in wet or snowy weather with the heating pad, and even without the heating pad, this fabric house will not wick moisture and the construction is too flimsy to hold up to wet or stormy weather. If you have a clean, dry, unheated garage or enclosed porch with a grounded, three-prong outlet, this may be useful for keeping your pet warm - but keep in mind that the heating pad is not UL listed, and thus poses a risk of electrical shock and fire.
