The single star rating is intended to draw customers' attention to this review. In theory and design, I like this product. For the duration of time that it was functioning, it performed quite well. However, the particular unit that I ordered burned out after about 6 months of use indicates a serious defect in product quality control. Normal usage conditions: USB hub plugged into a power strip, 10 usb charging cables plugged to the hub, mix of phones and tablets (iphones, ipads, android phones and tablets) plugged to the charging cables attached to the Sabrent hub. Based on the overwhelming number of positive reviews, I would guess that it was my unfortunate luck that I received a defective unit. Nevertheless, it's necessary to point out the potential burnout (meltdown) that may exist when you purchase this product. So far i don't think any of the devices attached to it have been affected. If so, I'll be certain to update this review and make a note of it. Please see the attached photos for reference, thanks.
