The seals leak and pop when tightening. Quality control was poor on my batch of 8. Out of 8... 7 leak. You would think the seal would be the number one function of quality control review. l. The threads are too small and when sealed if you give a gentle pull you can pop the lid open and water leaks everywhere. You are asking for water damage with that unreliability. Of course they work standing upright, but that is completely against the point. I contacted the company immediately to report the problem and was met with voicemail and an email response. Now I have $150 in leaking water storage with an automated shrug and hand off to amazon to deal with. Quote: " We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Unfortunately, this is an item which we team up with Amazon to provide you. It actually ships from their warehouse although we are the seller.
