Poor design
I purchased mine a few weeks ago and I will be returning it today. You really do pay for what you get. The Bosch and Dewalt are 2x the price of the Skil but in my opinion, worth the difference. Here is what I don't like about the Skil. 90 degree mider slide that comes with it is flimsy therefore using it to ensure a 90 degree cut is impossible. It really would be an issue because I was planning on building a cross cut sled for my saw anyway but, Skil's designed the two grooves on the face off the table so that building a sled with hardwood slides will not fit. Most table saw's slides are 3/8" which would making a cross cut sled easy to build and use but not Skil. It is hard to really explain, just look at and zoom in on the top of the surface of this saw. I don't know the technical name for them but they are two "gutters" that run parallel to each other. For some reason Skil decided not to make these gutters 3/8" all the way through. There are two teeth on each end of the gutter thus making most of the gutter 3/8" except for the areas where the teeth are and they are less than 3/8". If you are trying to build a cross cut sled like I was and need to have runners on the bottom of the sled that go into these gutters, you either have to engineer your runner to accommodate those teeth or grind them off. I hope my description makes sense. Just compare the pictures of the Skil saw to the Dewalt or Bosch and pay close attention to those gutters. If you don't ever plan on using a cross cut sled, then this Skil saw design won't be a problem.
