Purchased and transmitter broken by the next year. It began spontaneously shocking the dogs. With the box set at the furthest radius, it would sometimes shock the dogs at fifteen feet, sometimes at forty. We realized it when our typically boisterous dog refused to leave the back steps. We went through the recalibrating steps and the same thing continued to happen. Unfortunately, PetSafe customer service is not helpful at addressing the problem. After stating the boxes last 5-10 years, they insisted they could do nothing to fix or refurbish it and that the only option was to buy a new box. Our transmitter had spent the year plugged in behind a large cabinet, never touched- jostling or movement was not the issue. Do not buy if you can avoid it- the product is defective after a year.
