The Godfather and its sequels are classics of American cinema - yes? Yes! Emphatically so. So, why does Paramount continue to reissue them on Blu-ray - same gorgeous 1080p transfers, same extras - with packaging that is just basic and with zero fanfare or announcements of a true 4K release on the horizon?!? Re: packaging. If you're ordering this one for the swag - save your money. The swag consists of a fold-out 'family tree' that is barely legible unless you have a magnifying glass, and three stills printed on the back of three post card-sized glossy cards that you can insert into a cardboard frame (provided) one at a time, just in case you want a picture of Brando on your desk or mantle piece. Dumb reissue of the already available Coppola Restorations. Pointless. Pointless. Pointless.
