Part Number 90624357 .. Where Are You????
I'ts a screamer .. not loud, but comparable with my Husky except for cutting swath. It's awesome .. string didn't break until the first bar was used up. A lot of reviews here complain about the head being crap, so I ordered a Husky T35 rather than deal with the stock default head. You'll really need some slip joint pliers and a strap wrench to do the conversion. I have a full set of Knipex which worked easily, but most folks should get buy just fine with the common tools mentioned. So Jon, why only the two stars? For the money, the thing should come with a dern neck strap/lanyard, just like any other higher end weed wacker. This is Not rocket science, and this is a High End electric string trimmer. Age and A/O has taken it's toll, and my left forearm goes on fire way too soon, unlike with my Husky. But the real knocker is, the part that should have simply been thrown in the box, Only exists in the Fine Manual .. default P/N 90624357. Lots of complaints about the inordinate volume of debris worn by the operator after using this machine, and I would certainly echo those sentiments. I've gone through five gas machines until I finally bought the best Husky available at the time six years ago, so even as a DIY'er, I do have a reasonable expectation as to what flotsam and jetsam to expect. This thing throws out stuff like a Tasmanian Devil. Solution: DeWalt P/N 90624357, an "offered" accessory "extended" (normal sized?) guard. Now the only problem is, it's simply not available, Not even at the DeWalt parts store. It's a screamer .. works great. But those two glaring deficits mentioned above lost three stars, and DeWalt can do better than this. I recommend a face shield and the Husky T35 head .. as long as you're clickin' to buy. Cheers!
