I didn't need to buy this mug to know that something's amiss. Yeah, there was this great civil rights warrior named Martin Luther King, Jr. Sure, he was a great guy. Heck, he was a registered Republican and a gun owner. I can dig that. But the picture of the guy on the mug sure doesn't look old enough to have been the father of the protestant reformation in Germany beginning in 1517. Granted, I might be a Lutheran pastor, and I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure the Martin Luther that should be depicted on this mug was a white guy who's been dead for 471 years. In fact, I'm so sure, I'd bet my entire salary from now till my dying day that this is the guy you're looking for:
